UA Online becomes a MacroVOLT

Macro has worked with businesses and governments in more than 100 countries. Our purpose is to improve lives by serving the public sector. We combine capabilities in research and evaluation, management consulting, social marketing, and information technology with deep in-house expertise in areas such as health, international development, housing, education, energy, and the environment.

The following projects illustrate, in concrete terms, how we help clients define issues and shape solutions that support organizational success, program impact, and public welfare.

  • Faith-Based and Community Initiatives
    From AmeriCorps to CVS, faith-based and community organizations, national groups and businesses are making a difference in individual lives, working with the unemployed and under-employed, at-risk youth and children of prisoners, to name a few. Macro has worked with faith-based initiatives, supported grant proposal development, and has evaluated collaborative efforts between Workforce Investment Boards and faith-based initiatives.
  • Children's Mental Health Initiative (CMHI)
    As part of SAMHSA’s Systems of Care initiative, the Comprehensive Community Mental Health Services for Children and Their Families Program (CMHI) is the most comprehensive effort to date to promote the development of systems of care to improve the lives and outcomes of children with serious emotional disturbance and their families.


  • Cell Phone Data Collection
    As more people switch from landlines to cell phones, researchers are seeing the effects of missing “cord-cutters.” The cell-only population is projected to rise from 13% to 25% in 2008. Macro has been researching and developing cell phone interviewing methodologies over four years. In 2007, Macro launched MacroPoll Wireless, the first national cell phone omnibus survey.


  • Quit Tobacco—Make Everyone Proud Campaign for the DoD
    When the Department of Defense decided to help its young enlisted personnel quit tobacco for good, it turned to Macro International to guide its efforts. Learn more about this strategic marketing outreach program designed to promote health and wellness among members of our military services.


  • OnTRAC for OMB Clearances
    OnTRAC helps you manage every aspect of your OMB information collection requests with complete confidence. This Web-based collaborative authoring system provides all the functionality necessary to streamline the entire clearance submission process before you submit to ROCIS or ICRAS, putting you in control so that you can focus on results.

  • MacroVOLT
    This is a system for developing, deploying, and administering Web-based instructional courses. Course types range from simple text-based courses to complex courses with extensive multimedia features.
